Mental Health Workshops

Stigma and neglect are major barriers to mental health support. Empowering people through knowledge and awareness fosters a compassionate society that is accepting of mental health. The long battle against the mental health crisis begins with education.

About 13% of adolescents (ages 10-19) are diagnosed with a mental health disorder severely impacting their lives and future. Adolescents spend most of their waking hours in educational institutions, making them ideal places to run mental health programs.​​

1 in 8 people around the world are living with a mental disorder. Even more frightening is that this statistic excludes people struggling with mental health but not diagnosed with a disorder. Awareness can go a long way in reducing stigma and neglect.

We conducted a 2-hour interactive workshop on 'Emotions and Regulation' for a group of 85 young adults at their Bengaluru centre.

The participants were encouraged to name their emotions, listen to their body, and practice emotion regulation strategies.
